Very deep and bright cherry red. After aeration, the nose reveals black fruit with light roasted touches. The palate is silky with an elegant and fine evolution. Long and harmonious finish.

Maritime climate, caused by the Atlantic. The warm Gulf Stream and the Gironde act as a heat-regulator and moderate the climate. This gives the region mild winters, warm summers, and long, sunny autumns

sandy-gravel soil. More to the west the soil gets sandy. The subsoil is known as ‘crasse de fer`.
- vinification

temperature controlled fermentation, followed by an ageing of 18 months, of which 12 months take place in wooden barrels, made out of 30 to 60% new wood.
