More about this winery: Gran Appasso
The wines of Gran Appasso pay tribute to the rich wine traditions of Southern Italy, specifically the Apulia (Puglia) region. Gran Appasso is renowned for its robust, full-bodied red wines made using the appassimento method. This process involves partially drying the grapes before pressing, resulting in concentrated flavors and increased sweetness. The combination of native grape varieties, such as Primitivo and Negroamaro, and this ancient technique gives Gran Appasso wines their distinctive depth and complexity, making them perfect for enthusiasts of intense and expressive wines.
What makes Gran Appasso wines so special is the balance between richness and approachability. The wines are full of flavor with notes of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and plums, complemented by subtle hints of spices, chocolate, and vanilla. Despite their complexity, they are surprisingly smooth, with soft tannins and a velvety finish. This makes them ideal for pairing with a variety of dishes, from rich pastas and meat dishes to hard cheeses. The versatility of these wines ensures they can be enjoyed both on special occasions and during casual dinners with friends.
People choose Gran Appasso for its excellent price-quality ratio. The wines offer the refinement and depth of a premium wine but remain affordable and accessible. This makes them appealing to both experienced wine connoisseurs and casual drinkers. Additionally, Gran Appasso wines are an excellent choice for making an impression with a stylish Italian wine rich in character and tradition. In short, Gran Appasso offers a unique wine experience worth discovering.

More about this winery: Domaine Naturabilis
Thomas Collogne represents the seventh generation of a winemaking family and is the proud owner of Domaine Colonat in Morgon, located in Beaujolais. With a rich history as a renowned estate, Domaine Colonat has established itself over the years as one of the leading names in the region. However, in 2017, Thomas decided to forge his own path alongside managing the family estate and founded a new winery. This allowed him to fully express his personal vision and ideas.
With his new estate, Thomas aims to produce high-end wines in limited quantities that are created in complete harmony with nature. The vineyards are managed organically, meaning that external influences are kept to a minimum. The focus is on natural processes: sulfites are used minimally, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, and aging occurs in traditional amphorae. This meticulous process results in wines known for their fruity freshness, playful structure, and exceptional purity.
Furthermore, Thomas Collogne’s wines are presented in beautifully designed bottles that reflect the unique identity and philosophy of the estate. The winery is named "Naturabilis," which in Latin means "In harmony with nature," a name that perfectly encapsulates the core of Thomas' philosophy. This philosophy, deeply rooted in respect for nature and artisanal winemaking, is evident in every bottle that leaves the estate, highlighting Thomas' commitment to creating wines with a pure and authentic character.
